Project Prathyasha was initiated to look after the needs of a very vulnerable section of our society, HIV Affected Orphans. The objectives of Prathyasha are:
This pet project of Mellow Circle to rehabilitate HIV Affected Children took shape with the donation of 8 grounds of land near Avadi, from Mr. K N Oommen, in memory of his late wife Mrs. Mary Oommen. The construction was completed in little over a year and was inaugurated on 17th May, 2009 by Mr. John K John, Managing Director, Johnson Lifts, a key sponsor, in the presence of Mr K N Oommen as well as several dignitaries from the State health boards. Prathyasha’s first phase of 2300 sq.ft will be a total home for over 20 children where we will provide them with a normal childhood, complete with education, medical care, nutrition as well all other inputs required for a normal growth. |
